What is Snow? A Winter Wonderland!

Imagine tiny, icy stars falling from the sky! That’s snow! Have you ever wondered what makes the world turn into a winter wonderland? Let’s talk about snow!

Snow is like frozen water that falls from the sky. When it’s very cold, water in the air turns into tiny ice crystals. These crystals stick together and become snowflakes. Just like your fingerprints, every snowflake is different. They all have unique and beautiful shapes. Imagine tiny ice puzzles, each one has a different pattern, that is what snowflakes are.

When snow covers the ground, everything looks bright and clean. Snow changes the landscape, making it look like a magical winter wonderland. It is like a soft, white blanket covering the earth. Why does snow look white? It’s because of the way light bounces off all the tiny ice crystals. What happens to snow when it melts? It turns back into water, just like ice does.
