Dinosaurs!
Dinosaurs!
Do you remember the dinosaurs in the Jurassic Park movies? The dinosaurs in the movies are pure fantasy. Of course they are not real. But they used to live in real, ages ago. The movies related to these extinct creatures are a good combination of science and art. The famous director Steven Spielberg and the eminent author of the \”Lost World\” and \”Jurassic Park III\”, Michael Crichton, both have created the spell in bringing back the extinct species through their books and movies. This has aroused the interest among us to know the science behind these dinosaurs. Even Robert T. Bakker and Jack Horner have created more believable dinosaurs using contemporary paleontological ideas. There was a group of animals called dromaeosaurs which included animals such as Velociraptor. Velociraptor was actually much smaller than the “velociraptors\” shown in the movie; it was about the size of a medium-sized dog (75 lbs. or so). But there were big dromaeosaurs roughly the size of the movie “raptors.\” The interesting fact is that the dromaeosaurs lived from the Late Jurassic (150 million years ago) to the end of the Cretaceous (65 million years ago). They were closely related to birds because they had long arms and large brains and also had feathers like birds.
