You should not use any sort of harsh solvents like finger nail polish remover, alcohol, turpentine, gasoline, lighter fluid, acetone, paint thinner, mineral spirits, kerosene, ammonia, dish washing soap, glass cleaner, vinegar, or any other commonly found household cleaner to clean your computer. A cleaner labeled ANTI-STATIC is best to use for getting good results and even it can be used to clean the touchpad module.
